An Urban Design Project, designed to provide an under-developed North Indian town, recognition on a local, national and international level.

 

The Kernel is basically an amalgamation of an open-air theatre, a public seating space, a museum, a gallery, a thorough-fare and also as an approach to the Qila(fort). It also incorporates the redesigning of a temple in the vicinity, which though designed contemporary, still encompasses the heritage and values of a Hindu temple. It is designed as a new approach to dilapidated city centres and such forts, where public-private partnership can be developed to create a new horizon for cities and its people. The project was widely appreciated by the local authorities and planners after the successful explorative design undertaking.

 


The project was envisioned as first a local project, for the neighbouring residents, there on after considerable developments, it would be influential on a larger national scale.


After national recognition and development, the project which would now be self-sustainable would grow as an international destination while the city around it develops and expands with the help of the migration, recognition, economy, and tourism.

Highly aimed at improving the quality of life of the neighbouring areas in the town and there on developing the town as a destination.

 


Technical Data

The project is considered to be fully constructible and developed with the current technology in mind. Requirements of the projects’ excellence are only limited to public recognition and acceptance.

 

Designed with a column and beam structure while incorporating sustainable elements and involving pre-cast elements.
