We know that every 3D printer builds things based on the same main principle: a digital model is turned into a physical three-dimensional object by adding material a layer at a time. Because of that, initially you should model the thing you want to print.

I used to think that they are small machines that make our architectural model better. To illustrate, when I design a part of a building, has a different geometry, I use 3D printer for that part on my architectural model, like you can see below.

3D Printed Buildings

Generally, 3D printers work with plastic material, however it is possible to work with other materials like concrete. I know you are surprised but in fact, it depends on your printer’s capacity.

That technology offers a faster, more cost – effective way to construct buildings. In France, a 1000 square foot house was printed in 54 hours as a model for social housing.

On the other hand, 3D printers are usually portable, enabling construction in many locations using just one machine. In addition to that, during the production process, almost no material is wasted.

Who knows, maybe one day  we will use only concrete 3D printers to build. Until that time you can search another printed buildings. Leave  a comment below and let us know !
