Collectible New York, the American edition of the fair devoted to contemporary collectible design, returns for a third time from 6 to 8 November 2026, with a VIP preview and opening night on 5 November. Held every year in Brussels and New York, the fair gathers galleries and design studios from around the world, and this time it moves uptown to a former movie theatre at 210 East 86th Street on the Upper East Side, a building of tall ceilings and large open volumes.
Sections and curators
The fair is organised in five sections. Main is the core, given to galleries presenting contemporary designers in curated booths. New Garde is for collectives and not-for-profit structures set up within the past three years, from physical spaces to digital platforms. Bespoke shows commissioned work by independent design studios, with tightly edited presentations. Fashion, the newest section, focuses on furniture made for the fashion world, such as retail interiors and runway sets, and is chaired by Lynette Nylander, executive digital director at Harper’s Bazaar.
The Curated section, aimed at emerging and mid-career independent designers, is curated by Alex Tieghi-Walker, founder of TIWA Select. His theme, Human Resources, looks at the late twentieth century appeal of the office and turns the section into a landscape of corporate fantasy, exploring ambition, display, labour and systems of value through collectible design.
Opening hours
The VIP preview and opening night on Thursday 5 November runs from 11 am to 9 pm and is by invitation only. General admission is on Friday 6 November from 11 am to 7 pm, Saturday 7 November from 11 am to 7 pm and Sunday 8 November from 11 am to 6 pm. Tickets are sold through the fair’s website.
