Poodom Deqin Meri Hotel by BUZZ/ Büro Ziyu Zhuang

The Poodom Deqin Meri Hotel sits high in the mountains at about 3,600 meters, on the Wunongding Viewing Platform east of Meri Snow Mountain. From the hotel, guests can see all thirteen sacred peaks of Meri stretching across the horizon like a long line of snowy mountains. Behind the hotel rises Baima Snow Mountain, creating a protected and quiet space between two large mountain ranges. On one side, the land opens toward wide valleys, and on the other, the high cliffs and ridges shape a dramatic landscape. The hotel is surrounded by nature on every side, giving visitors a peaceful place to rest and enjoy the mountain scenery.
Xinjiang Shihezi G30 Ecological Corridor by Turenscape

The G30 area is about 13 kilometers long and covers around 10.5 square kilometers. It is in an important part of Shihezi City and acts as a main road and city entrance. According to the city’s master plan, this area is planned as a green space. This gives a chance to create a beautiful landscape that shows Shihezi’s focus on nature and ecology. The project wants to improve the look of the large farmland by creating a bright and colorful flower field. The plan is to build a “1+2+3” agricultural leisure landscape belt, which also helps improve local industries. With new opportunities from the Belt and Road Initiative, the project explores modern ideas for city farming. It also highlights Shihezi’s important role in the Tianshan North Slope Economic Belt and its special culture of military farmland development.
Canadian School by Sordo Madaleno

The Canadian School in Cholula, Puebla is designed so that the landscape is part of learning. The school is near the ancient Cholula pyramid and the Popocatépetl volcano, which inspired the design. The architecture respects both the history and nature of the land. The school’s buildings fit naturally with the city and the shape of the land.
