1PAX has introduced its 2026 Graduate Fellowship, a six-month, paid, fully remote initiative aimed at providing emerging architects with international experience through practical projects in the fields of aviation, transportation, urban development, and mobility infrastructure.
This fellowship is available to recent graduates of architecture and final-year architecture students from around the globe. It will select two candidates to join 1PAX and engage in various projects that span different scales, disciplines, and geographical contexts.
International Jury
A key aspect of the 2026 program is its seven-member international jury, which consists of highly experienced professionals from architecture, aviation, urbanism, mobility, research, and city development.
Selected by Leading Voices in Architecture and Mobility
The jury members collectively possess decades of international experience in architectural practice, aviation, urban development, education, and research. Their varied viewpoints reflect the interdisciplinary focus of the fellowship and the intricate connections between architecture, infrastructure, and mobility.

More Than Professional Experience
The fellowship transcends traditional internships or graduate placements. In addition to contributing to real projects at 1PAX, each fellow will undertake a research project on a topic related to architecture and mobility, with support from an experienced researcher.
This blend of practical and research experience lies at the core of the fellowship, allowing participants to gain firsthand exposure to international projects while exploring their own inquiries and developing innovative ideas that could influence the future of architecture and mobility.
The research element encourages fellows to challenge existing solutions and investigate the emerging questions that will define urban mobility in the coming years.
An International Experience Without Borders
This fully remote fellowship enables participants to work with the 1PAX team across its global network on projects tackling complex transportation and urban development challenges.
The program includes a fully funded visit to the 1PAX office in Paris, covering flights and accommodation, allowing fellows to meet the team and gain in-person experience of the studio’s environment.
This international framework allows fellows to engage across cultures, disciplines, and scales while enhancing their understanding of how architecture influences urban mobility and global connections.
Who Can Apply?
1PAX seeks emerging architects who exhibit strong design capabilities, curiosity, and an interest in the future of urban environments and mobility.
Applicants should be recent architecture graduates or final-year architecture students aged 20 to 28, possess professional proficiency in English, and be available for the six-month program.
The fellowship is open to candidates worldwide, with only two positions available for the 2026 program.
