Archiprix Türkiye 2026, the national award for architecture graduation projects, is open to students from universities in Türkiye and Northern Cyprus. It is organised jointly by the Şevki Vanlı Architecture Foundation and Mimarlar Derneği 1927, entry is free, and applications close at 23:59 on Sunday, 15 November 2026. The dates of the jury meeting and the award ceremony will be announced later.
About the award
Founded in 1996 by Doğan Hasol, Şevki Vanlı, Hülya Yürekli and Ferhan Yürekli, Archiprix Türkiye is the country’s longest-running award for architectural education. It aims to show the range of project topics studied in schools, encourage debate between different teaching approaches and raise the quality of architectural education nationally.
Eligibility
- Only graduation projects made in design studio courses run in the 2025-26 academic year at universities in Türkiye and the TRNC can enter. The graduation project is the last studio a student must pass to graduate.
- Entrants do not need to have graduated, but they must have passed that studio.
- The studio tutor must approve each entry; the organisers contact tutors by email after the deadline, so projects should be shared with tutors before applying.
- Group projects are accepted: one member registers, the form lists all members, and each member signs a declaration.
How to enter
Everything happens online through the Archiprix Türkiye website, where the application system is open from 20 October to 15 November 2026. Entrants fill in the online application form, upload up to two landscape panels of 100 x 70 cm as JPG files at 150 ppi, and upload a signed acceptance and declaration form as a PDF. The panels are judged anonymously, so they must not show the entrant’s name, school or tutor, and links or QR codes will be covered. No separate report is needed, and the competition documents are in Turkish.
Jury and prizes
The jury is made up of Alper Aytaç, Bülent Batuman, Ebrar Eke, Emre Erkal and Hicran Hanım Halaç, with Nuray Özaslan and Ela Yumurtacı, winner of the 2025 edition, as alternates. The prizes are TL 75,000 for first place, TL 60,000 for second and TL 40,000 for third, plus three equal honourable mentions of TL 25,000 each. The jury may also give a Jury Special Award and up to five Encouragement Awards without a cash prize. The placed projects will be shown at a colloquium, award ceremony and exhibition, with the dates still to be announced.
