The International Excellence Awards 2027 are now taking entries. Run by Architecture & Design Community, which founded the programme in 2025, the awards enter their third season with 11 categories and 240 nominations and welcome both completed buildings and unbuilt concepts. Registration runs in five rounds until 16 March 2027, projects are due on 19 March 2027 and the winners will be announced on 6 April 2027.

Who can enter and what qualifies

The call is open worldwide to architects, interior and landscape designers, product and fashion designers, studios, manufacturers and students. Work completed or designed within the last seven years is eligible. The 11 categories are Architecture, Interior, Landscape, Fashion, Furniture, Lighting, Packaging, Product, Transportation, Communication and AI-Powered Innovation, the last of which is reserved for projects made fully or partly with artificial intelligence.

How entries are judged

Judging is blind, with the entrant’s details removed before review. Each juror scores every project separately on a scale of 1 to 10 against three criteria: innovation and originality, design and aesthetic quality, and functionality and spatial integration. Awards are given by average score rather than by ranking, so any number of projects can reach a level: Platinum for 9.0 and above, Gold from 7.5, Silver from 6.0 and Bronze from 4.5. The 2027 jury is made up of six architects and designers from Brazil, Egypt, Thailand and the USA.

The 2026 Platinum winners included Saint Ives by Max Nobel of Nobel LA in the USA, Pandora by Lee Chung-Lin of YUN-YIH Design Company in Taiwan and Casa Jesús y Ulrike by Mauricio Ceballos of MCXA in Mexico. The full list is on the International Excellence Awards 2026 winners page.
