Designart Tokyo, the citywide design and art festival, holds its 10th edition from 30 October to 8 November 2026. Exhibitions and events spread across Ginza, Tokyo, Roppongi, Gaienmae, Omotesando, Harajuku, Daikanyama and Ikejiri, covering product, interior and fashion design, architecture, art, food, technology and sport. The main venue is a temporary exhibition space on the KK Line in Ginza, the elevated road formerly known as the Tokyo Expressway.
This year’s theme is Hibiki, or resonance: the way sound, colour and material travel across time and distance and live on as feelings and memories. The organisers argue that design is no longer self-contained and gains meaning through its relationships with people, industries, generations and cultures, and they use the theme to ask how designers can make things that are still loved in the decades ahead.
Since its launch in 2017 the festival has drawn a cumulative audience of about 250,000 visitors. For the anniversary it has introduced a 10th edition logo, and the key visual is by Tokyo photographer and artist Kenta Cobayashi, known for his #smudge series of digitally painted photographs. Tickets for the main venue and the full exhibition map are published on the festival website.
