Hawkins\Brown is on the lookout for an urban designer to become a part of its team in either London or Dublin. The firm seeks a skilled, driven, and ambitious urban designer to contribute across various projects, enhancing and supporting the urban design and masterplanning sectors within the studio.
The position is available at either the London or Dublin studio, and interested candidates should apply to the location of their choice.
We are in search of a collaborative team member and critical thinker who possesses strong communication abilities to join our dynamic creative studio. The ideal applicant should have outstanding analytical, design, and presentation skills, and be capable of conveying their work through diverse media, including sketching, CAD drawings, and both verbal and visual presentations.
Applicants should be familiar with the social, cultural, and economic aspects of masterplanning and show initiative in engaging with these subjects both within the studio and with external parties. A solid design background with two to five years of experience in urban design or masterplanning is required. Experience working within teams on innovative masterplans and urban design projects is crucial, ideally within a UK or European setting.
The successful applicant will have an understanding of planning policies and processes in either Ireland or the UK, along with the capability to produce coherent and well-developed design concepts and masterplanning schemes. Candidates must possess excellent 2D and 3D CAD skills (AutoCAD/Revit/Rhino), as well as proficiency in Adobe software (Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign) and comfort in interacting with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
